BIRDZ and Omar Musa joining forces for the ‘Voodoo Laksa Tour’

Hip Hop powerhouses BIRDZ and Omar Musa have announced their joint “Voodoo Laksa” tour, hitting Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Darwin.

Northern Territory raised rapper BIRDZ made waves with his debut album Train of Thought, which didn’t shy away from the political. BIRDZ is known for raw, honest lyrics, and none of his releases demonstrate this better than “Black Lives Matter”, a track that highlighted police brutality as an Australian issue.

Joining BIRDZ is prolific Malaysian-Australian rapper, writer and poet, Omar Musa. As a winner of both the Australian Poetry Slam and the Indian Ocean Poetry Slam, it’s no secret that Musa has a way with words. His album Since Ali Died is a masterpiece of rap and poetry, blending the personal and political to create a beautiful work of art.

You can catch these legends on tour on the dates below.

March 8th | The Toff, Melbourne
March 16th | The Railway Club, Darwin
March 23rd |  Transit Bar, Canberra
March 24th | The Chippo, Sydney
