After announcing a co-headline tour with Interpol, Bloc Party have now announced a series of headline dates of their own. With shows in Perth, Adelaide, and Hobart added to the calendar, this year marks the band’s first return to Australia since 2018.
Keen fans would have noticed two singles already released this year, “Keep it Rolling” High Life” from new EP High Life. This adds to the indie rockers’ catalogue of Silent Alarm, A Weekend In The City, Intimacy, Four, Hymns and 2022 LP release Alpha Games.
Bloc Party got their breakthrough in 2015 when Franz Ferdinand singer, Alex Kapranos was given a copy of the single “She’s Hearing Voices” by frontman Kele Okereke. They were played on the BBC, and the rest is history. Their debut album, Silent Alarm, included hit songs such as “Banquet”, “Helicopter”, “This Modern Love” and “Flux”, and went on to achieve platinum status.
