Brisbane has a knack of producing some fine indie rock bands. New kids on the block, The Jungle Giants, prove this testament true once again. As they unleash their debut single ‘Mr Polite’ they are letting their live show out of the cage as they hit the road for their first east coast tour.
Since their inception only earlier this year, The Jungle Giants released their debut self-titled EP that they recorded with acclaimed local producer Yanto Browning. As a band, it was treated more like a demo – essentially and introduction to the industry that the band was proud of. With these catchy five tracks, The Jungle Giants have begun to make their mark.
Lead single ‘Mr Polite’ perfectly depicts their sound. The fun pop tune has all the elements to ensure you’ll be mindlessly humming it for days to follow. With a few nods from triple j already to their name, this is an exciting first offering from the The Jungle Giants.
In only eight shows, this pop quartet have shared the stage with popular locals The Medics and graced the stage at the sold out boutique music event Track & Field, alongside Ball Park Music and Last Dinosaurs. With glowing reviews surfacing after every live show, this pop quartet has quickly garnered the reputation of a band to see.
With that in mind, The Jungle Giants are set to make their maiden voyage interstate in support of their debut EP this August. In addition, the band has been selected out of a pool of 500 applicants for a sought-after showcase spot at the nationally renowned BigSound Music Conference this September, to round off their tour.
Watch out for this rollicking four-piece and their exuberant live show as The Jungle Giants let loose.
