Brisbane’s Last Dinosaurs team up with Sydney’s Papa Vs Pretty for a quickfire co-headline tour.

Keeping with the summer festive spirit, Brisbane’s Last Dinosaurs have teamed up with Sydney’s Papa Vs Pretty for a quickfire co-headline tour. This hot melding of music will be hitting all the metros as well as a few lucky regional towns, lending a chance for these bright young things to show why right NOW is the time & place to be.

No strangers to a playful and boisterous show, Last Dinosaurs had already rallied the crowds at Splendour in the Grass and Laneway festival earlier last year, before seeing out 2010 atFalls and Southbound. Now hot off the tail from supporting Oxford’s matheletic royalty Foals, Last Dinosaurs will be hitting the road with new single Time & Place in their back pocket. Mixed by UK producer Eliot James (Kaiser Chiefs, Does It Offend You Yeah?, Two Door Cinema Club) it brings with it all the bright and tight guitar lines we’ve come to expect from the group, buttoned up into a neat two-track release.

Papa Vs Pretty had a damn good 2010, and can’t wait to finally put out a full length album this year. They are currently bunkered up in BJB Studios with producer Paul McKercher, while Scott Horscroft anxiously paces outside the door waiting to mix the album. Tom, Gus and Thomas can’t wait to unveil what they have been cooking up, and are anxious to hit the road to give folks a taste. Speaking of taste, the new and slightly demented clip for Wrecking Ball from the Heavy Harm EP is online now, those of you with a penchant for seafood and a strong stomach should check it out.

Last Dinosaurs’ Time & Place two track will be available digitally on Friday 4th February via Dew Process/UMA. A rare edition of Time & Place will also be available in 7” vinyl during this tour from the merch desk. Papa Vs Pretty’s debut release Heavy Harm EP is out now via Peace & Riot.

Tickets for this double-headline tour will be available on Thursday 10 February.
