Chappell Roan, Sturgill Simpson, Dom Dolla, Glass Beams and more: Photos from Day 3 at ACL Festival 2024

Yesterday saw the first weekend of Austin City Limits Festival draw to a close, with saw Zilker Park become a dust bowl. The bandana masks came out as the grass was trampled, with massive crowds decending on the iconic grounds for acts like Chappell Roan, Tyler The Creator, Cannons plus Australia’s own Dom Dolla and Glass Beams!

Sturgill Simpson saw a different and older crowd, and it was awesome to see that man shred on the guitar after the Chappell Roan production.

The festival’s three days flew by much faster than years past and I’m sure if we looked back the fashions were different, but the love for music and musicians all the same.

The passion the fans have for each set is always lovely to see at the barricades. TikTok was a big presence in terms of who was popular through out the weekend. But the new acts are always pushing through with relatable content. Just check out DeathbyRomy! And nothing beat the tens of thousands of people all dancing to Chappell’s “HOT TO GO!” – a flash mob of old. Here’s some footage of it.
