Chet Faker talks about his Hottest 100 Chances for tomorrow.

Tomorrow is Australia Day, which means the winner of the Hottest 100 will be revealed – and finally we’ll never have to hear about the whole Taylor Swift “controversy” again. Assuming she isn’t eligible, there are two favourites looking to take out the top spot: Australia’s Chet Faker and Peking Duk. Either could walk away with it – and wouldn’t it be great to see an Australian win for a second year in a row.

Yesterday, Chet performed in front of thousands of people in the first date of the 2015 St Jerome’s Laneway Festival tour, in Singapore. While he was there, we asked him what he thought about his chances:

Chet: I’d bet my money that Peking Duk will take number one… because their song went triple platinum.

Larry: Well it’s between you and them…

Chet: No, they’ve got it!

Larry: Unless Swift…

Chet: Oh, T Swizzle? No I don’t think that’s going to happen. I doubt that they’d let that happen. They don’t play Taylor Swift. It would be kind of funny though. I’m looking forward to it. It’s the day after my brother’s birthday, so I’m going to try and give him a shout out on the radio.
