Coldplay dive into disco-funk with “Adventure of a Lifetime”

In a surprise announcement, Coldplay have released the details of their next album A Head Full of Dreams along with the tracklist and the full version of their first single. “Adventure of a Lifetime” has the band delving into a little disco-funk, providing a nice groove over which Chris Martin sounds comfortable and confident.

The instrumental is glossy, full of soft, pounding bass, handclaps, and a melodic riff, thanks to extensive work with Norwegian pop-production team Stargate and long-time collaboratre Rik Simpson.

It has also been announced that Noel Gallagher and Beyonce will be guests on the album.
