Australian euphoric pop quartet, Crayon Fields, have a busy busy October ahead of them. They’re heading off to the US on their ever proper American tour, after a brief trip to SXSW, LA and New York in March. This time the band are really hitting the road, playing up and down both coasts and stopping in New York for CMJ.
But before they go, they have a couple of swanky shows to play. First there’s their own headline farewell show at the East Brunswick Club on Friday October 1, supported by the debonair Darren Sylvester and Adelaide’s fuzz pop kings Hit the Jackpot.
Then on Saturday October 2, they’ll be performing on the Main Stage at Melbourne’s Parklife Festival, treading the same boards as Missy Elliott, Soulwax and Groove Armada!
For all these shows, they’ll be playing songs from their two much-loved albums All the Pleasures Of the World and Animal Bells, as well as a swag of new material.
They’ve also made a US tour EP available on Bandcamp, with previously vinyl-only B-side How Loved You Are, a live version of Pleasures track Graceless, a remix of All the Pleasures Of the World by Dan Block, and a surprise – a sultry cover of the Roxette classic It Must Have Been Love.
