Death From Above 1979 to return to Australia, celebrating 20 years of You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine

Legendary Canadian duo, Death from Above 1979 will be touring Australia in April, 2025 to celebrate 20 years of their debut album, You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine.

Released in 2004, the album has gone on to become a cult classic and still shines after 20 years. Classic tracks include “Romantic Rights”, “Blood on Our Hands” and “Black History Month”.

It’s been described by Rolling Stone as “noisy hardcore, gritty synths, and earnest screams.” and by Drowned in Sound as “It’s not just music you’re hearing – sweat, blood, spunk and beer are all audible, splattering these 11 tracks like a Pollock…”

This will be the first time the band has toured Australia since Parklife in 2011, so their return is long overdue. They’re playing four shows in Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney with support by our very own noise machines DZ Deathrays.
