Dirty Three, who are on the cusp of a national tour next month, have dropped “Love changes everything II”, the latest single from their forthcoming album Love Changes Everything.
“Love changes everything II” is the second single from the album, and follows on from last month’s “Love Changes Everything I”. In this latest track, Warren mans the keyboards, Jim is on the sticks and Mick caresses the five-string filigree. It’s gorgeous and pensive, washing gently, proving that sometimes less is more.
Dirty Three will be touring in June, with support from Laura Jean and Eleanor Jawurlngali, criss-crossing the country between the 14th and 29th June.
Formed in Melbourne in 1992, the three piece instrumental outfit is fronted by the cyclonic Warren Ellis on violin or viola, Mick Turner on guitar and Jim White on drums. To date they have released seven albums, toured the world many times and collaborated with the legendary Nick Cave, Cat Power and PJ Harvey.
Love Changes Everything is their first release in over a decade, and will be released physically on Friday, 14th June and digitally on Friday, 28th June.
Warren Ellis states: “Recorded in 5 days. Mixed in a year. Nothing has changed. Older and meaner, sadder and totally dangerous. Dirty Three are Thirty Two years old. Come blow out the candles and help us stick a knife in the cake.”
Dirty Three live is a gig not to be missed!
