More About Sabrina Lawrie & The Hunting Party:
Sabrina has been kicking around with that SG of hers in the Brisbane underground scene since the late nineties. Her quest in seeking the truth has seen her deeply entrenched in the underground scene both in Brisbane and Los Angeles and has cast a spotlight on her reputation for flying under the radar and going against the grain.
This anti conformist approach has strangely enough seen Sabrina wind up in some opportunistic situations, such as jamming with Nick Oliveri, sharing the stage with members of Cat Power and The Brian Jonestown Massacre, shooting the shit with legendary stoner rock producers Dave Catching & Chris Goss and playing festivals in the States with bands including The Black Angels, Dead Meadow and Strawberry Alarm Clock.
In 2015, Sabrina will be casting out her first full length album of works. She has been brewing the album like a fine wine. All the while continuing to develop as a guitarist and songwriter and evolve her live act, The Hunting Party, we now see Lawrie in her prime, leading a purposefully forceful and voyeuristic three piece band, dishing out lashings of dark rock, blues and psychedelia.
