Exclusive Playlist: NEEDTOBREATHE present their 10 favourite songs for a road trip

Ahead of their Australian tour next month, American rockers NEEDTOBREATHE are sharing exclusively with AU review readers their ten favourite songs to listen to on the road. And you know this is a band who spend a lot of time on it. So enjoy these amazing ten tracks and keep it as a playlist for yourself, for the next time you’re on the road: yourself:

Delta Spirit “Patriarch”

Great band. Great live show. Huge Fans! This is off their most recent release Into The Wide. Can’t wait to dig into this record more but this one is an easy first listen!

John Mark McMillian “Monsters Talk”

One of many standout tracks on JMM’s record Borderland.

Willie Nelson “Whenever You Come Around”

I love the delivery of this song. Willie’s still got it – what an incredible songwriter.

Jack White “High Ball Stepper”

You can’t listen to this song and not picture yourself in a movie, robbing a bank or blowing something up.

Bob Schneider “The Effect”

Catchy ditty and a nod stylistically to one of our favorites, Paul Simon.

Spoon “Rent I Pay”

I love this band for a lot of reasons but there ability to tap into the Rolling Stones vibe and make it fresh is certainly one of the biggest reasons.

Jim James “State of the Art (A.E.I.O.U.)”

We love Jim! My Morning Jacket guitarist Carl Broemel sat in with us playing steel guitar on “Feet Don’t Fail Me Now” and “Difference Maker.” He good. And this is a very creative track off Jim’s debut solo album, Regions of Light and Sound of God.

The National “England”

From their album High Violet, this song deserves your undivided attention. Turn out the lights, turn up the speakers, and feel.

Bleachers “I Wanna Get Better”

Almost too catchy…

Phosphorescent – “A Charm/A Blade”

Joyous melody with horns and a brilliant tempo change for every chorus.
