We have the Exclusive Premiere of a new release from BB Sabina, an exciting new artist who hails from the Northern Territory. The track is called “Feast”, and it’s an impressively mature first release from BB Sabina.
The vocals and delivery is self assured, in a style which can be comfortably compared to PJ Harvey and Angel Olsen. The track is blessed by its rich guitars leading into the beautifully direct vocal delivery.
Her debut EP will be soon. Of this, BB Sabina says “The EP reflects on the creative process; inspiration, struggle and release. From the cathartic release I’ve experienced when songwriting, to the struggle that is involved in putting your art out there. And finally, the transcendent feeling that you can get when it all comes together, when the music hits you and you feel completely captivated for a moment.”
BB Sabina collaborated with the ARIA-nominated artist Eveyln Ida Morris on mixing and fellow Alice Springs artist Dave Crowe (Resin Moon) on the recording. Evelyn wrote of the experience of this process “BB Sabina has a very clear vision about what she wants from her music, and I think we did a great job of reaching that vision in our mixes. I am looking forward to seeing what she makes next!”
