Exclusive Single Premiere: Áine Tyrrell “Don’t Be Left Crying” (2017)

Irish troubadour and one of our favourite ladies on the road, Áine Tyrrell, introduces us to her brand new EP Fledgling Fall, by way of this stunning single, “Don’t Be Left Crying”.

Coming off the back of a successful album release for Queen of Swords, the new music from Tyrrell continuing to branch out from her folk foundations in exploring the depth of her songwriting and talent for story telling through music. It is sleek and well-nurtured; much like the rest of Tyrrell’s music we have heard, the effort and time that has been poured into the writing and crafting of the music comes across so beautifully each time.

Add to this the fact that the new music led Tyrrell to work with the acclaimed Glen Hansard and well, you’ve got a collaboration for the books.

“While most songs start off as personal, as this one did with my own heartbreak after a break up,” Tyrrell explains. “What makes a song powerful is when you can make the personal universal. This is where Glen and I agreed to serve the song. He added in some words that could have come straight from my heart or anyone. That is the beauty of song crafting.”
