Baby Blue began as a solo project for Rhea Caldwell, swelling to a four-piece that delivers folk-tainted indie pop-rock. The group are fast becoming a Melbourne stalwart, picking up heat from music blogs on national and local levels – and we are so stoked to be able to share their new single, ‘Concentrate’, with you today.
The fourth single from their forthcoming EP, In My Mind, “Concentrate” is a dream-pop turn for the group, driving home the diversity of Rhea‘s songwriting and the dynamics of the band.
This track is mesmerising, melancholy, and is definitely setting the stage for an amazing EP.
The band keeps on delivering, with a residency announced for March at The Tote, a video on the way, and the EP set for release on May 25th at The Curtin. Contrary to what the single says, they’re definitely concentrating – and baby, you’re not going to be left feeling blue.
Catch Baby Blue at their front bar residency at The Tote throughout March, with supports from Girlatones, Poppongene, Gumboot, Closet Straights and Quivers.
