Bendigo’s Jack & The Kids have made their impression well and truly known with their single, “Your Eyes”, premiering today on the AU. In a music climate where pockets of Australian music is reliant more than ever on soaring indie pop choruses and hooks, it can be hard to stand out, especially if you’re making your entry to the scene. For Jack & The Kids, their debut offering has all these things, but there’s a freshness to “Your Eyes” that makes them stand out that little bit more.
A great fusion of guitars and lyricism drives “Your Eyes” as the single explores a sense of nostalgia and the decisions made to get to this point in one’s life. Recording with Aaron Dobos, there’s an extra level of talent brought to the production of this tune and it only indicates that Jack & The Kids have their sights firmly set on moving onward and upward in 2017.
