Self-described as Naarm’s third-best ‘alternative rock band’, it’s time for Melbourne and the rest of Australia to get well-acquanted with the quartet Lucy’s Disorder. We are beyond excited to have the privilege of premiering their debut track, “Tell Me a Secret” ahead of its release on Friday.
“Tell Me a Secret” is an intoxicating blend of viscous indie-rock, with lyrics that are rich and vivid, laced with loud, distorted guitars paired with a fist-pumping melody. It is steeped in drama and pulls you in on the first listen. If you love Arctic Monkeys, you are going to vibe with this one big time. “Tell Me a Secret” will pull you out of your slumber and take you on a whirlwind ride.
The quarter consists of Nicolas Torres (vocals and lead guitar), Zoe Alexa (bass and harmonies), Shane Clark (rhythm guitar) and Mike Palomeque (drums). The track was produced by Josh Ten. Based on this debut, the band is presenting themselves fully formed. They appear to be just as comfortable hiding in the dark shadows, cranking out some gnarly rock, as they are dancing in the sunshine and celebrating the madness. Don’t let Lucy’s Disorder be a secret for any longer.
I’d love to be seeing them play this one live. If you are lucky enough to be in Naarm, you can catch them at the Rainbow Hotel on the 9th March (with Skybelly) and at Workers Club on the 6th April (with Golden Turtle and Medicated Love).
Get on board, see them live and give this one a listen before it’s release on Friday (you can pre-save it HERE)..
