Singer-songwriter Mitch King is about to drop his latest single, “Two Ears” and we are excited to have the exclusive single premiere of it today, ahead of its release tomorrow. It’s a beautifully restrained song, with acoustic guitars that cradle his honey-sweet vocals. He gently and evocatively delivers the importance of listening to the other person. King is a one-man-band with all the skills. “Two Ears” follows on from “Feel Worthy” which was released back in August.
King says of the meaning behind the song: “I began making the effort to listen more attentively to the people I care about, and the idea of having two ears for listening but only one mouth to talk really stuck with me.”
“Two Ears” was recorded with producer Jordan Power (Xavier Rudd, Angus & Julia Stone, Dope Lemon). With touring being on hold for a while, King has been holed up writing and recording. An EP is in the works and should be released early in 2021.
“Two Ears” will be released tomorrow, 21st October 2020. You can pre-save it HERE. In the meantime, take a sneaky early listen here.
