Songwriter and guitarist Luke Kordyl hails from Perth, and following some ten year of travelling the globe, surfing and writing new music, a new project has emerged: The Bloom. So, what was the catalyst to get his music out there? Well, it seems like it was a change of scenery, as Luke moved to East London and formed the three piece that now makes up this emerging project.
Today on the AU, we’re proud to be premiering the new single and music video from the trio. “How It Starts” is a stunning track with lyrics that speaks from the heart, stunning melodies and a beautiful accompanying video. And I don’t want to put any ideas in your head, but it’s hard not to hear a bit of Colin Hay in there! Listen and watch here:
Of his compositions, Luke says, “I just wanted to make fun music that’s easy to listen and move to and is entertaining. Travelling for as long as I did really opens your eyes to what’s going on around you and that every little scenario you find yourself in is worthy of a story. That’s what I think our songs are. Short stories set to music.”
The single has been taken from the debut album, my,my,OH, my which is scheduled for release in late 2015.
