The Bombay Royale has returned guns a-blazing with their new single premiering today, “Ballygange”. As part of their triumphant third studio album Run Kitty Run, “Ballygange” is fuelled by vibrancy, a distinctly 80’s vibe and all of that brash confidence that The Bombay Royale have become known for, especially when it has come to their live performances.
Vocals are delivered in Hindi, Bengali and English and are likely to be in your head long after that percussion and horn section fades at the end of the song. Recorded in Melbourne between Brunswick’s Hope Street Studios and Northcote’s Soundpark Studios, the hot flavour of The Bombay Royale hasn’t been lost any on “Ballygange”, instead being turned all the way up.
As a little taste of Run Kitty Run in the lead up to their tour dates through July, August and September, “Ballygange” is a fiery tune from a group continuing to gain a stronghold on music fans everywhere.
