Only earlier this year, The AU Review premiered their single, “Ice Cream” and now The Valla return with another smash hit called “Shut My Mouth”.
After releasing their debut EP Just Chemicals in 2019, the notable newcomers have been pushing the boundaries and making themselves heard. Whether it’s rocking out in secret house concerts, hosting parties and jamming in living rooms across London, the indie rockers are here to make noise.
As the band explains, the inspiration behind the track comes from a frenzied News Year Eve party.
“The song’s based on one of us getting too drunk at a New Years Eve Party and opening up but saying a bit too much to their girlfriend… Yup, it happened, but wouldn’t be a good NYE party without some drama!”
Guided by producer Andy Hall, who has worked with major artists such as Bastille, Fickle Friends and James Gillespie, the band squeezed in their new single right before lockdown hit the U.K. Despite the disruption of coronavirus, the band continued to make waves and featured on BBC Radio and Introducing South on multiple occasions.
Premiering exclusively today on the AU review, the single for “Shut My Mouth” blasts an energetic and catchy anthem. As they hook you in with their playful yet endearing lyrics, it will be no surprise if you end up hitting that repeat button.
“Shut My Mouth” is out now. Keep up to date with The Valla via Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
