Exclusive: Skegss (Bryon Bay) serve up a perfect dinner party playlist!

Byron Bay lads Skegss recently released their debut EP 50 Push Ups For a Dollar (perfectly titled, really) this month and it’s everything we could’ve wanted from the trio. Fun, rollicking and generally down for anything, it’s a mantra that has applied to the Skegss work and performance ethic since their break out during 2015. Since they first appeared on our radar, the boys have thrown down popular live shows around the country and have made their first venture overseas, taking to the US and Canada now with a fair bit of buzz and acclaim behind them.

Their latest single, “Eat It”, has also seen a great film clip released to accompany, produced by the band’s bass player, Toby Twostring. The track is reflective of their recent travels, as frontman Ben Bograil describes: “I wrote it when I was hungry to get overseas and devour all the food in different countries. SKEGSS has a very universal diet.”

And keeping this in mind, Skegss want to share some jams to score a pretty sick dinner party with us! Drummer Jonny Layback lines ’em up…

DICK DIVER – “Leftovers”

Who doesn’t wanna cop a dick diver at a dinner party? Especially if it’s about smashing leftovers…

EDDY CURRENT SUPPRESSION RING – “Hey Mum”

Ya wouldn’t be having a bloody dinner party if it wasn’t for mums…

COSMIC PSYCHOS – “Nice Day to Go to the Pub”

Singing about schnitty and sauce makes me hungry…

DUMB PUNTS – “Goon Sack”

A dinner party requires the finer things in life. Sack.

PAUL KELLY – “How to Make Gravy”

Needs no explanation: defo a dinner party banger.

THE SOFT PACK – “Tallboy”

A good drink goes hand in hand with a good feed.

DUNE RATS – “When You’re Around”
