Kroehn’s gorgeous natural tone is as evocative as the whispered acoustic, purposely leaving plenty of wide-open spaces for him to fill with his articulate songwriting. “Never Found” is an exceptional showcase for a forthcoming debut album, accompanied by a self-directed, self-filmed, and self-edited music video tracking the feeling of isolation and a desire for acceptance.
The release follows last year’s well-received Something I’ve Found EP, revealing this young artist the world and steadily building momentum.
In explaining the single’s creation, Kroehn acknowledges how significant the song is to him right now. “I’ve found that the more I stay true to myself, the less involved I feel in certain relationships and friendships,” he says. “I feel like in the past, I’ve tried becoming something I’m not in order to keep people happy, which I don’t want to do anymore as it took its toll on my own happiness.”
