British-born Lucy Gallant has led a full and adventurous life thus far. The singer/songwriter left home at fourteen years old and has followed her instincts and lust for life in a colourful and spiritual journey. Having travelled to more than fifty countries, the culmination of her lived experiences are for all to witness in her latest single, “Rebel”, a powerful acoustic folk reggae mashup. We are stoked today to be premiering the video for this powerful call to action.
“Rebel” showcases the power of Lucy’s voice. Accompanied by an acoustic guitar, with cajon and chimes and a solid bass line, the anthemic call to unite and change the world is allowed to resonate and shine brightly. It was produced by Aria-award winning Govinda Doyle. Fans of Michael Franti are bound to find much joy in “Rebel”.
The video was filmed in Northern NSW by Richard Frankl, and depicts Lucy running freely, and hiding in nature. She is on the hunt for like-minded folk in her quest to stand up, fight back and counter the fear, greed and lust for power that pervades society. “Rebel” is raw and powerful. Crank this up loud and get inspired to make a positive change.
Lucy is currently in the midst of a tour to celebrate the release of “Rebel”. The next show is at Tambourne Mountain on the 15th of April. Further details are below.
