Exclusive Video Premiere: SLIM JIMZ “R.I.P.” (2024)

Slim Jimz

Last week, Eora/Sydney 5-piece SLIM JIMZ dropped their latest sun-soaked earworm, the punchy bass-laden banger, “R.I.P.”. It was a big week for the lads, who also announced that their sophomore EP, Don’t Keep Quiet, will be released later this month, on the 29th of May. We’re stoked to be premiering the video for “R.I.P.”, featuring the classic car road trip.

The track is punctuated with rolling guitar riffs, wave after wave, that suck you into a ride that feels steeped in emotion. It’s engrossing, a little heavier than many of their other tracks, yet feels right at home amongst the Slim Jimz cannon of gripping and infectious tunes.

Zeddie of the band writes about the video: “The R.I.P music video explores individual freedom. There is so much freedom in realising what your true passions are in life and seeing how far you can take it. It’s transformative letting go of your old self to become as authentic as you can be. It inspires people around you and brings unimaginable possibilities”

The band are steadily reaching new audiences with each release. In the last few years they have shared stages with the likes of South Summit, Rum Jungle, The Vanns and Masaya (NZ). We’ve been following them closely since we premiered the video for their track “25” last year.

Speaking of live performances, SLIM JIMZ have a couple of shows lined up in June and July in Sydney and Brissie. Get along if you can, and support live music. It will be a ripper of a night. All the details are below.

And finally – make you pre-save their upcoming EP – Don’t Keep Quiet  – out on the 29th May.
