Sydney grunge-pop rockers TILD are about to release their latest single, “Wasting Time”, and we are stoked today to have the exclusive video premiere of this gem prior to its release tomorrow. The band have been busy since forming in 2019, releasing singles “Slowly”, “Wolf” and more recently “Make Up”.
It has sweet infectious vibes, and will undoubtedly appeal to fans of DZ Deathrays and others who like their rock a little grungy with a nice tune running through its veins.
“Wasting Time” was recorded at Sydney’s Jungle Studios, with Lachlan Mitchell (The Vines, The Jezabels) at the helm.
Greg Morrow directed the video, and those familiar with the Marrickville Bowling Club will no doubt recognise it. What a fun video to make, get your mates together, play a few tunes, and solve the problems of the world over a few beers.
The band said of the creative process for the video: “We brought a crew down to our rehearsal spot. We found being in our natural environment helped us with our performance shots. To coincide with the theme of the song, we wanted to create a mundane day in the life type of feel. We basically lived our usual day: having a jam, beers and a bit of banter. The team did a good job and we were stoked with how it came out.”
