FANGZ have never been a band to do things by halves. From launching their own hot sauce, to curating festival FANGZstock, to living out frontman Josh Cottreau‘s dream of playing in (*checks notes*) Orange, to holding the Guinness World Record for most number of hard-boiled eggs eaten in one sitting, the FANGZ brand has always been loud, chaotic, and a huge amount of fun – and this latest announcement is no exception.
Not content with merely dropping a new single (and there’s honestly nothing “merely” about the brilliant “Same Old Story“), the Eora/Sydney punks have also announced an audacious 24 hour tour, taking place on August 31st. Kicking things off in the wee small hours of the morning at Melbourne’s Cherry Bar, FANGZ will then head to Sydney for a lunchtime gig at Bootleggers, before wrapping up at Brisbane’s Greaser Bar. It’s, quite frankly, madness, and, well, very FANGZ. And did we mention that every single gig will be FREE?
Of course, it’s all done in celebration of new single “Same Old Story” – another skate punk banger from the band – and frontman (and holder of the aforementioned Guinness World Record) Josh had this to say:
“‘Same Old Story’ is about living authentically and unapologetically following your dreams. Recognising a chance for change or a new beginning, and overcoming the doubts and obstacles to go after what you truly want. If you’ve ever taken a leap of faith and embraced the unknown it will resonate with you.”
