Slowly but surely, Cyprus is becoming a cradle of modern techno music for aficionados from all over the world. No wonder the world’s best DJs add this paradise island to their itinerary to enjoy gigs and chill under the starry Mediterranean sky. In September 2024, a three-day festival called BEONIX will rock Limassol, with Fatboy Slim as one of the headliners.
We will highlight this EDM living icon in this read. But first, a couple of words about the event.
About BEONIX
BEONIX is a recent addition to the Cyprus EDM arena. From September 20th to 22nd, the island will play host to the third edition of the annual festival, which is anticipated to draw over 5,000 music enthusiasts daily. A bunch of sought-after performers and DJs will perform their electronic music during the event, which will take place at the prestigious ETKO venue in Tsiflikoudia, Limassol. A total of fifty elite DJs will spin music for more than 30 hours. For starters, Fatboy Slim will be the headliner of the event!
There will be no camping facilities at the premises of the event, so guests must look for lodging facilities to stay the night. You can purchase a one-day pass or opt to spend three days dancing to wicked techno music.

Fatboy Slim: Blast From the Past
This guy is one for the books. Quentin Leo Cook, better known to techno lovers as Fatboy Slim, revolutionized the electronic music scene and had a significant impact on listeners worldwide. From his early days as the bassist for the Housemartins to his huge solo success, this British producer and DJ has had an amazing career filled with fascinating stories and milestones. Born and raised in Surrey, this rhythmic beast started his DJ career after relocating to Brighton to get a degree.
Cook’s secret to success is his ability to combine rock and dance elements with funky breakbeats and cheesy melodies. This has allowed him to reach a wider audience than many other DJs. Even though he sheepishly admits that his music is plain, corny, and obvious, his carefree demeanor and amateurish approach may be a more important element of his unique appeal than his tunes.
Considered a British EDM icon, Fatboy Slim is the only DJ who played at the Glastonbury Festival for 17 (!!!) consecutive years. Throughout his career, Fatboy Slim has collaborated with well-known artists such as David Byrne, Macy Gray, and Iggy Pop to create avant-garde beats that challenge rules.
