Tash Sultana just got their own Fender Guitar: Introducing the Tash Sultana Stratocaster

Tash Sultana guitar

Fender have teamed up with singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tash Sultana for their all-new Signature Stratocaster.

The guitar, which features a wide range of tonal options and a custom “Skull” neckplate, is Sultana’s first artist signature model with the iconic guitar brand. The collaboration comes after an incredibly successful five years for the singer-songwriter; going from busking on Melbourne’s streets to selling out shows across the globe.

As their fans are no doubt aware, Sultana is a long time Fender player; and the Tash Sultana Stratocaster has been designed so as to best reflect their unique playing style. Here’s what Sultana had to say about the collaboration.

“Fender is one of the first guitars I saved up for when I started playing and in fact is the first instrument I learned to play. It’s really surreal to have my own signature model now after walking through music stores as a kid seeing so many guitars I wish I could have owned. The guitar has truly become my third arm and I hope that my signature guitar with Fender sparks other guitar players to create music that inspires and allows self expression freely.”

The Tash Sultana Stratocaster is finished in a vibrant transparent cherry and trimmed with all-gold hardware. It features a matching painted headstock, that custom “skull” neck plate, Yosemite single-coil Strat pickups and a Double Tap humbucking bridge pickup. It’s all designed to help the player deliver a range of tonal options.

Fender have also released a new episode of the their serialised Fender Demos series discussing the new Stratocaster. The video, featured below, takes a deep dive into all the spec and details of the new model, and showcases all its key features and elements, alongside a few playing tips and maintenance hints.

The Tash Sultana Stratocaster costs $1999 AUD. For technical specs, additional information on new Fender products and to find a retail partner near you, visit www.fender.com.
