Foley’s top make-up products essential to developing their looks for “That’s Life, Baby!”

It’s release day for Kiwi-born singer/songwriting duo Foley bringing to you their stellar sophomore album That’s Life, Baby!

With a series of stand-out singles released throughout 2024, namely “Low and High”, “Heartstrings”, “Unstable”, “Time Of My Life” and “Miss You All The Time”, Foley have set the bar high for the remainder of the album and have left plenty of fans anxiously awaiting the release today.

Having gotten the honour to listen to the album prior to the release today, I can confidently say that this album will leave you wanting more, with the infectious synth-pop beats and  relatable lyrics, Foley will capture you on the first listen, leaving you dancing in your bedroom with their songs replaying in your head.

“That’s Life, Baby! sums up our approach to life in a nutshell – we go through highs and lows, love, loss, trauma, but at the end of the day we are positive, light-hearted and optimistic because we have each other through it all. The album is a collection of stories and experiences from the last year, each track describing an interaction with those around us, or a realisation within ourselves, that has had a lasting impact on us as people; each one a little slice of our lives.”  FOLEY

If you’re looking for new music to listen to and are unfamiliar with Foley, this album is perfect for fans of The 1975 and Sabrina Carpenter.

A limited run of album launch shows across NSW and Victoria has been announced – all the details are below. Get along if you can.

Today the band have released the video for the title track, and they have shared with the AU their top makeup products that helped bring this video to life. Press <play> and read on!

Makeup look from “That’s Life, Baby!” Music Video

We have developed some really creative looks across the TLB campaign – our goal is always to bring playful and unique energy to the looks. Tallulah McLean our makeup artist is such a creative genius and she always works with us really closely on bringing something unique to life that will elevate the music.

The key colours across the campaign were silver and red – we wove those colours throughout the styling and makeup every time to slowly build the universe around the album. The cover art was a culmination of those colours and we’ve been stoked with how everything has tied together.

Some of our favourite products to create vibrant colour and bold shapes are below!

The Mac Pro Palette Paintstick – 12x

This is such a dream because the colours are so powerful and pigmented – and we usually start the shape of each eye look with a beautiful block of colour. This bad boy did a lot of the heavy lifting on the “That’s Life, Baby!” video – that red eye wouldn’t have been the same without this palette!! OBSESSED! LOVE YOU MAC

Mecca Mac Pout Pencil Lip in ‘Sassy’

I am a HUGE fan of a red lip – I wear red lips in a lot of our content and across most of our music videos because it just has that POP! I also love early Gwen Stefani looks with the red lip and blonde hair – so I channel her energy a bit sometimes on stage and in our videos. This lip pencil just stays on sooooo well and never bleeds into the lip. Perfection!

Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gel 77

This eyeliner WILL NOT MOVE. We use this in my water line a lot to make sure it has longevity through a whole shoot and won’t seep out. It’s honestly unmoveable and such a workhorse. To die for

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder – in ‘Dim Light’

We use this colour as a blush but it has such a beautiful glow and light that I am obsessed with. Especially when my skin isn’t the best I love a glowy look because it takes the focus away from any texture and just makes the makeup sing. This is such a beautiful product – I could honestly cover my face in this every day.

Wycon Liquid Eyeshadow in Silver

I stumbled upon this bad boy when I was travelling in Italy and it was SOOO PIGMENTED when I swatched it that I had to buy it. Literally $9 I was shook. This has such a beautiful shimmery and wet looking finish – both Gabe and myself have worn this in our looks and on stage throughout this album campaign. Gabe is wearing it in our press shoot and it made such a difference to bring the looks together – the silver in his eyes really paired perfectly with my silver bodice! Obsessed!
