Updated: Glass Animals announce 2024 Australia tour

Surprise! After a sold-out, and by all accounts insane, pop-up show at Sydney’s Liberty Hall last month Glass Animals are heading back our way much sooner than expected – this November! We’ve got all the ticket details below.

Updated: 6/7 – additional Sydney Opera House Forecourt show – 27th November

The UK favourites took out the coveted Hottest 100 top spot not that long ago with the massive 2020 single “Heat Waves” and have released more than a couple of ample hits since. Most recent singles “A Tear in Space (Airlock)” and “Creatures in Heaven” have graced our ears ahead of a much anticipated fourth studio album. Releasing on 19 July, I Love You So F***ing Much promises to be an expansive departure from their previous LP.

2020’s Dreamland will be a tough act to follow. The album was born into a world deep in the COVID-19 pandemic, and provided 13 tracks of introspection and struck a particular chord with Glass Animals listeners, both new and old. As a result their sound quickly took over Tiktok and lockdown playlists, resulting in 75/100 on Metacritic and the Gold ARIA Certification.

The band has an affinity with Australia, and it’s fair to say, that it’s not just lip-service! Frontman Dave Bayley shared: “Australia. We love you so f***ing much.  When we first came to tour over there, we only had like four songs. So we played them twice. And you forgave us. And then you gave us our first ever hottest 100 success with Gooey. And then you embraced Heat Waves so hard I tattooed the shape of Australia on my arse cheek. It is my only tattoo. I forget it’s there sometimes and it startles me when I get out of my bubble bath. But it makes me v happy. And I feel the same announcing this new Australian tour. The same happiness I feel when looking at my arse in the mirror. See you soon.”

The British four-piece are touching down in Melbourne on 20 November and Brisbane on 22 Brisbane. And if you missed out on the exclusive Sydney show, you can catch Glass Animals on the stunning Sydney Opera House Forecourt on the 26th of November.

I Love You So F***king Much is out on the 19th July, so you’ll have plenty to time to get familiar with the new tunes before these shows.
