Hear Joyride’s cover of Methyl Ethel’s “Twilight Driving”

As we sit patiently waiting for that full Joyride album to eventuate, the don himself has kicked off a brand new series of music to keep fans happy in the meantime. Putting his own spin on some Australian tunes, the ‘Twilight Driving Series’ is going to be producing some no doubt brilliant gems over the next few weeks.

First cab off the rank, aptly, is a cover of Methyl Ethel‘s “Twilight Driving”. Stripping things back to begin with, Joyride’s trademark vocals inject a new level of soul to the lyrics before the arrangement swirls and builds, culminating in a bright, electronic-punched second half.
