Hilltop Hoods have today announced a special recording project, Drinking From The Sun, Walking Under Stars Restrung, to be released Friday, February 19th 2016. The announcement accompanies the news of their new track “Higher” a Hilltop Hoods and Symphony Orchestra Tour.
The track “Higher” was premiered on Triple J this morning and will be officially released tomorrow; you can find it here. The new song features vocals by James Chatburn, an emerging singer/songwriter who has been a Triple J Unearthed feature artist.
Hilltop Hoods albums Walking Under Stars and Drinking From The Sun were recorded two years apart but sit as companion pieces. Featuring a selection of tracks from each album, the songs have been rerecorded, remixed, and restructured with the 32-piece Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, plus the 20 piece Adelaide Chamber Singers Choir.
To celebrate the release, Hilltop Hoods have announced a national tour set to be some of their biggest ever shows. Ladies and gentlemen – “The Restrung Tour”.
