IDLES summer East Coast Australian tour about to kick off

IDLES

British rock band IDLES return to Australia this January to play three shows in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney to showcase their latest and fifth album TANGK released in 2024.

IDLES will be playing their biggest theatres to date in Australia after winning fans with their powerful and chaotic performances across Australia from previous tours including an epic show at Splendour In The Grass in 2023. We were there, and it was one of the highlights of the festival. There is an intensity to their performance that is always spellbinding.

The band released a music video for “Grace” off their album TANGK that used footage from Coldplay’s video for “Yellow” making it look like Chris Martin is singing “Grace” rather than “Yellow”. The idea for the video reportedly was used with Martin’s approval but also his cooperation – filming himself singing the song in order to train the AI to make it appear more realistic.

Support across all venues is from American outfit Nation of Language plus Voiid in Brisbane, Ecca Vandal in Sydney and Lur & The Hell Cutz in Melbourne.
