Interview: Zoe Wees on “Ghost”, Lewis Capaldi and German music.

Zoe Wees

Zoe Wees was Apple Music’s global ‘Up Next’ artist for April with only three singles to her name and at just 18-years-old. The German-born singer-songwriter has wowed international audiences since her debut track “Control” in 2020, went viral on TikTok with her next release “Girls Like Us”, and has recently backed it up with “Ghost”.

With her debut EP Golden Wings set for release on May 21st, Zoe is on the fast lane to sell-out success. Her dark pop and deep rich vocals are spell-bounding as she sings of her demons over anthemic beats.

Her latest single “Ghost” shows a more vulnerable Zoe as she sings of getting close to someone you know can hurt you.

We caught up to discuss the music landscape in Germany, her Benign rolandic epilepsy as a child and her recent release.

“Ghost” is OUT NOW!
