Jen Cloher, BIRDZ & Gretta Ziller to perform at the Australian Music Prize Longlist Party in Melbourne

The 13th Australian Music Prize is edging into its home stretch of deliberations in locking down their final long list of Australian artists to be in the running for the $30,000 cash prize (courtesy of the PPCA) – announced in early 2018 – but in the meantime, the organisers of the prize have unveiled another event to whet the appetites of music fans in the lead up.

Falling in line with their recent series of pop up parties in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, The AMP have announced a special free event for Melbourne where the final long list will be revealed. Head out to The National Hotel in Richmond on December 5th for the party, running from 6pm through until 9pm, where over 40 new artists will be announced as additions to the final AMP longlist for 2017.

The free Longlist Party will be featuring special performances from three already-longlisted AMP artists: Jen CloherBIRDZ and Gretta Ziller, while hosts Brian Nankervis (RocKwiz) and Sam Lockwood (The Jezabels) will be joined by some special guests in attendance on the night, including former AMP winners Remi and Sensible J and Big Scary.

The long list for the 13th Australian Music Prize looks pretty schmik already – check out which albums have made it below.
