Lazertits, possibly one of the best band names we’ve heard, are going to be wasting no time once January gets underway, revealing their first dates for 2017. Kicking off with a date at The Old Bar in Melbourne, the band heads to Sydney for the first time ever in Jan, hitting Vic On The Park in Marrickville and Tokyo Sing Song in Newtown as part of the tour.
Don’t stress if you’re hanging out for a final Lazertits fix for 2016 though, they’re playing The Old Bar on Boxing Day – details here. In the meantime, check out this cheeky video the band has release in support of their 2017 calendar. Celebrating ‘pride in friendship and identity’, Lazertits worked with photographer Simon Aubor in pulling this one together, with 50% of the profits going towards Minus 18, an group providing peer mentoring and mental health support to Australia’s gender diverse youth and same-sex attracted community. The other 50% of the calendar’s profits will go towards the making of the band’s debut album.
