Little Birdy reunite for BigBigLove 21st Anniversary Tour

More than two decades after the release of debut album BigBigLove, Perth indie icons Little Birdy have reunited to celebrate its 21st birthday.

Appearing at last year’s Hotter Than Hell festival, frontwoman Katy Steele had teased more was to come, and now we have our answer: a new tour, playing BigBigLove in full, alongside a curated list of fan favourites.

They’ll take to the road this winter, kicking off in Brisbane on June 20th and wrapping things up in Dunsborough in early August, with original members Simon Leach and Scott O’Donoghue joining Steele on stage.

The band have also announced that, for the first time ever, BigBigLove will be available on vinyl. The limited edition 12″ pressing will feature an extra 7″ single with exclusive bonus tracks, including an unreleased version of “Beautiful To Me“.

Originally released in 2004, the album has become an Australian indie classic, with beloved tracks including “Beautiful To Me”, “Relapse“, and “Tonight’s the Night” becoming essential listening. It launched Little Birdy onto the global stage, helping score the band five ARIA nominations, and seeing them supporting the likes of REM, Bright Eyes, and Placebo. Festival slots at Big Day Out, Groovin The Moo, and Homebake were also on the cards, as well as bagging Tegan & Sara as their own support act.

Fans won’t want to miss this chance to see them again, and catch this seminal album in full. Tickets go on sale Friday 21st March, and will be available through the Little Birdy website HERE.
