Tallahassee quintet Mayday Parade have just announced Australian dates, bringing their Three Cheers for 20 Years tour our way in September. Since forming in 2005 and dropping debut album, A Lesson in Romantics, in 2007, the band are responsible for some of their genre’s cult classics, including “Jamie All Over” and “Miserable At Best”. Twenty years on, they’re working on releasing their eight album Sweet, with plans for the next two already in place.
Of their long-lasting success, the band said:
The tour will kick off September 12th in Melbourne, before hitting up Sydney, Brisbane, and Adelaide, then closing out in Perth on September 19th. Joining them will be alt-rockers Jack’s Mannequin, preparing to celebrate their own 20th anniversary, and The Home Team, who blew Aussie audiences away last May when they supported Caskets on tour.
Presale tickets go on sale Friday February 21st at 9am local time, with general sale kicking off Tuesday February 25th, also at 9am local. You’ll find all the info you need, including presale sign-up, over at Destroy All Lines’ website HERE.
