Meredith 2024 lineup includes Jamie xx, Waxahatchee and Genesis Owusu

News has just landed about the Meredith 2024 lineup and it’s massive. The event runs on December 6, 7 and 8 at the Meredith Supernatural Ampitheatre in Victoria. The second round of the ballot is now open until 10.32 on Tuesday 20th August. The ticket price includes all parking, camping, booking fees, car passes, BYO convenience, and spins on The Eye. Meredith is an independent endeavour, with zero commercial sponsors. Each ticket sold helps many organisations do good things in the Golden Plains district.

Here’s an overview of what bands are playing on the stage:

Jamie xx  – the British DJ has entranced festival goers for many years both as solo artist and as The xx. Expect groovy dance tunes to shake off the blues.

Waxahatchee – making her Meredith debut, Waxahatchee is described as having a songbook of heart plucking, nihilistic indie-punk. Mix in a blast of sunlit Americana and you have an endearing mix.

Genesis Owusu has been thrilling festival audiences now for around five or so years. With his energetic and powerful stage presence and equally powerful lyricism, he is a powerhouse of soulful rock music.

Adding a touch of New York cool, The Dare plays Saturday night. Expect disco balls, disco punk and much, much more.

The mysterious masked Glass Beams are set to perform their psychadelic, hypnotic earworm tunes that defy slotting into a musical genre.

Angie McMahon has a suitcase full of songs just ready to sit back, relax and enjoy.

Californian robo funk band Zapp have a custom made talk box, the Electro‑Harmonix ‘Golden Throat’. The band’s influence on West Coast rap peaked on their delivery of 2Pac’s most iconic hook.

New Jersey’s Mk.gee plays a timeless blend of 80s bop and R&B that cross from far out oddities to romantic classics.

Fat White Family are described as being Algerian‑rai influenced disco, torrid jazz, Scabrous socialist ideas, paired with pulsating synth rock. Hair‑prickling stuff.

There’s so much more – it’s going to be EPIC!
