We kick off this week’s Music Video Monday with the latest from Architecture in Helsinki, “Escapee”. The video was directed by Marcus Soderlund and is taken from their 2011 album Moment Bends. A great song and an expertly shot clip! It’s our video of the week.
Next, we have Dali’s Angels video for the single “Don’t Leave”. The Central Coast indie quartet impress with this track, and the video strikes a nice balance between narrative and live performance.
Bat For Lashes, meanwhile, delivered a new song while performing at the Sydney Opera House for Vivid – and someone was there to capture it for us. Here is the ‘live video’ entry for today!
We love The Badroom Philosopher here on the AU review, and so you can bet we were delighted to get our hands on the second video from the Songs from the 86 Tram album. The track is “Tram Inspector” and the video was directed by Craig Melville.
Based out of Bologna, Italy, OfeliaDorme make some damn beautiful music. In their DIY music video “Naked Evil” they’ve taken a sad song, thrown in some once censored film clips and brought us a truly transfixing video, accompanied by some goosebump inducing music. Enjoy!
Last but not least, we have the wonderful Brendan McLean with his single “Cold and Happy” and a video directed by Peter Ireland.
See you all next Monday for another pile of videos! We’ll no doubt throw you a few more during the week, too…
