Music Video Monday feat. Deru, Oh Mercy, Skipping Girl Vinegar, Moonbell, Belles Will Ring, The Windy City, The Snowdroppers, Beaches and more!

Just barely making this online before the end of the day, but it still counts! We’re back once again with our weekly Music Video Monday! We kick things off with our video of the week, which goes to an electronic artist from Los Angeles who I only discovered over the weekend: Deru (Benjamin Wynn). The track here is “Fadeaway” from the album Say Goodbye To Useless on Mush Records.

Isn’t that rad!? Can’t get enough of it. Skipping Girl Vinegar are next, and they’ve released a video for their euphoric new single “You Can”, which got some RAGE play recently! Check it…

Oh Mercy recreate the opening title sequences to your favourite movies in “Confessions”. Here’s what the band’s lead vocalist Alexander Gow had to say about the song:

“Confessions was the first song to be recorded for the album. The idea was to start with something simple. And that it was, that it is – A simple pop song about the complexities of cross continental romance. Note the instrumental section with the strange bird sounds…”

Next, we have “Games”, the latest single from South African / West Australian group The Windy City. It’s an interesting story of how this group came to be… check it out and find out the tour dates for their upcoming Australian shows at their official site HERE.

Next, Kristy Akers goes Muppet and teams up with Bob Evans for “In Spite of Ourselves”

One of my favourite Sydney bands, The Snowdroppers, have released a fantastic new video clip for “Run You Down”. Definitely worth your eyes and ears!

Having recently lit up local dancefloors with a whirlwind run of dates down under and as part of the Vivid Live festival, the release of Azari & III‘s debut self-titled album on August 12 is hotly anticipated. ‘Into The Night’ is our first official taste from the Toronto house mavens and is a deep house anthem that been making waves on the interwebs for a while now. We too enjoy it so thought we should share!

Belles Will Ring have just released a video for single “Street Lamp Stomp'”, taken off their latest album Crystal Theatre out now via Dot Dash/Remote Control. A great watch!

Next we have the sort of video that normally gets the 3am spot on RAGE: A psuchedelic six minute clip from San Francisco’s Moonbell. The track is called “Figurine” and I’m really digging it… especially this time of night.

Finally for this week, head on over to Noisey.com for a chat with our good friends from Melbourne, Beaches – who we haven’t heard from in a while. You can view the video HERE.

We’ll see you again next Monday!
