Music Video of the Day: Allan Smithy “Four Letter Reason” (2016)

Allan Smithy has been winning hearts (ours included) since Matt Amery (of Tin Sparrow) began making music and moves on live stages under the moniker last year. This week, we’ve been gifted with his new music video for “Four Letter Reason” – another great little gem of nostalgic Australiana.

Taken from his forthcoming EP I See A Palm Tree, the song is soaked in warmth, brought to life with some great indie rock choruses and composition. In writing songs about the ups and downs of trying to make it work in Sydney, looking back to look forward, there’s a personable element to his songwriting that draws you in instantly.

We’re looking forward to seeing Allan Smithy at BIGSOUND this year, as well as wherever else we might be able to!
