Music Video of the Day: Dear Seattle “Afterthought” (2017)

Sydney’s Dear Seattle started turning heads after uploading some pretty amazing tracks to triple j unearthed, particularly with release of breakthrough single ‘Meadows’.

The group deliver their gritty indie-rock and heartfelt, raw vocals in ‘Afterthought’, the video continuing from the video for ‘Meadows’. It’s an exploration of the morning after a big one, dealing with the repercussions, and also some really good tunes.

Frontman Brae Fisher says “We’ve all had that hungover wake up where it feels like you’re living in a snow globe and someone’s come along during the night and shaken the fuck out of it,” elaborating on the emotional array and eventual relief after a breakup – check it out below.

Dear Seattle are heading out on tour with Brisbane sweethearts Columbus – the tour kicks off on Saturday in Melbourne at The Workers Club, then onto Sydney’s Frankies Pizza on Sunday and Brisbane’s Black Bear Lodge on June 3rd. Head to their Facebook Page for all the details.
