Music Video of the Day: Emma Louise “Talk Baby Talk” (2016)

Emma Louise goes in with some heaving, evocative lyricism in her latest single “Talk Baby Talk” and now, we’ve got a brand new music video to accompany. The song itself is enticing, with that beat production luring the listener in, having us murmur the chorus without really realising. The music video illustrates a narrative featuring a troubled couple, with Louise cutting a striking figure throughout.

Directed by Dylan Duclos, the clip marks the second time he’s collaborated with Louise – the first time being for “Underflow”. He’s said of the project, “When I first heard “Talk Baby Talk”, there was something implicitly brooding about it and that was something I wanted to explore visually. Emma came to me with a loose idea of what she wanted to do and from there, we went back and forth until we were happy with what we had. It was really refreshing to do something visually different in comparison to “Underflow”.”
