Music Video of the Day: Lila Gold “China Chalet” (2016)

Lila Gold. Who is this artist capturing attention fast in local circles? Well, for those newcomers to her sound, she’s Sydney-based but New York raised and is one of the latest names to be embraced by the Mushroom family. “China Chalet” is her debut single and the music video that has come with it offers up some more hints as to what Gold is about.

Awash in red and purple hues, the music video is a look at a trip a group of girlfriends take when left to their own devices. As Lila’s voice smokes its way through the track, the listener is drawn in and charmed. She’s restless, perhaps a little reckless and as the video suggests, all about indulging and worrying about the rest later.
