Music Video of the Day: Mighty Boys “Dapto Dreaming” (2016)

Melbourne’s Mighty Boys head to the track in bringing to life visuals for their ode to the Dapto Racetrack, “Dapto Dreaming”. Taken from the band’s new EP Timely Reminders, the single uses the famous Sydney racetrack to illuminate ideas of particularly Australian masculinity, the idea of ‘the bloke’ and the culture that surrounds it.

The result is gritty, over-exposed in places and has an overarching sense of dark grime to it that makes you want to cringe as much as nod your head to the music.

The band launches the new tune at The Curtin in Melbourne on May 29th alongside The Dead Love and The Shabbab. In the meantime, check out the music video for “Dapto Dreaming” below and follow any of the below links to support greyhound rescue – an important cause championed by the band.
