If you’ve seen Neil Finn perform at all over the last handful of years, you’ll know that it’s very much a family affair when it comes to that surname and the production of engaging music. Most recently, Neil and son Liam Finn announced a joint record in Lightsleeper (out in August) but for now, we’re basking in the new visuals from the Finns – this time, for “Back to Life”.
Directed by Kristofski, “Back to Life” is a vibrant and striking tribute to Greek mythology as the Finn family and their friends come together in creating new music.
“Behold, a little piece of theatre representing the way we try to summon up the gods of our songs, like Orpheus – challenging them to bring life to those loved ones who have departed.” Neil and Liam explain. “But alas, the gods seem listless and unconcerned, trapped in their own cycles of drama and intrigue.”
