the AU review is proud to premiere the track “Complicate”, which is is the launch single for Sydney solo artist Christo Jones’ forthcoming debut EP, due in September. Jones uses a towering self-built rig overflowing with guitars, keyboards, samplers and pedals to write, record and perform his “beautifully twisted tunes”. The video has been put together using footage from the 1907 silent film Satan en Prison from George Méliès – who you might remember as the subject from the film Hugo, and the inspiration for the Smashing Pumpkins video “Tonight, Tonight”. We think he’s done a pretty great job here, and hope you enjoy!
