N*E*R*D and CHROMEO announce shows in Sydney and Adelaide.

NERD

Summer 2011 is about to get even hotter for music loving Sydneysiders with Future Entertainment, today proudly announcing a one-off show that’s sure to be the talk of the town …

Boasting a mouth-watering line-up of heavyweight international superstars – N*E*R*D, Chromeo, Boys Noize and Tinie Tempah – this sizzling all-star gig is set to tear the roof the Horden Pavillion on Friday January 7, 2011, and will no doubt prove a tough act to follow for the rest of year!

N*E*R*D and Chromeo will also play Adelaide’s Entertainment Centre on January 6th.

Offering harbour city fans their one and only chance to catch N*E*R*D, Boys Noize and Tinie Tempah on their summer tours, and a second, more intimate opportunity to see Chromeo (who are on the Field Day bill) on stage; this exclusive show is shaping up to be huge for loads of different reasons …

N*E*R*D’s fourth studio album, ‘NOTHING’, is due for global release in late 2010, so Sydney will be one of the first cities in the world to experience their new LIVE show at this gig!

As if that wasn’t enough, Chromeo’s highly anticipated third artist album, ‘Business Casual’, has just started to take the planet’s dancefloors and iPods by force, so it’s a chance to see them rocking their latest and greatest tunes LIVE!

And, then there’s the fact that UK’s brightest new star Tinie Tempah’s debut album has just touched down worldwide, so it’s not only a chance to hear him bust fresh singles like ‘Pass Out’ and ‘Written in the Stars’ 100% LIVE, but, more importantly it’s his first world tour and first visit down under.

Massive, indeed! But let’s take a look at the lineup in greater detail, shall we?

First up, there’s N*E*R*D … a fly-or-die alter-ego that subscribes to no rules, and adheres to no agenda. A trio who need little introduction. With their digital musical palette and vivid imaginations, Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo and Shay Haley are bringing their quintet of keys, guitar, bass, and dual drums kits down under to blast through a set filled with all the classic hits off past albums and fresh new weapons from their eagerly awaited next long player, ‘NOTHING’.

Next up, there’s the hands-down, party-up Electrofunk phenomenon, Chromeo. Featuring the unmistakable skills of Canadians P-Thugg and Dave 1, this tag-team of unadulterated party funk are serious players and sought after remixers who have owned the planet’s charts and dancefloors with epic tunes like ‘Needy Girl’, ‘Tenderoni’ and ‘Destination: Overdrive’. Touring hot on the heels of their third full-length album ‘Business Casual’ (featuring the hit “Don’t turn the lights on”), fans can look forward to enjoying a sonic wave of fresh new cuts and vibes in their set.

Then, for the party House heads, German Electro and Tech House kingpin, Boyz Noize (aka Alexander Ridha) is on the bill to cause some serious NOISE! A decorated DJ/Producer and label boss, this coveted studio talent has reworked the likes of Justice and Marilyn Manson, dropped two artist albums (‘Oi Oi Oi’ and 2009’s ‘Power’), and is renowned the world over for dropping bombs that shake dancefloors to their core.

And last, but certainly not least, one of the hottest acts in the UK right now, Tinie Tempah, is set to strut his stuff Sydney-side for the very first time. Fresh out of London’s Grime scene, Tinie is a cult hero with rap fiends, Indie kids and Grime rollers, alike. An MC with the skills to pay the bills, and then some, legendary BBC Radio 1 taste-making jock, Zane Lowe, recently declared that he was “… better than Kanye West”. Now that’s some serious praise. With his piping hot artist album ‘The Disc-Overy’ dropping recently and already setting charts ablaze Tinie is set to go L-A-R-G-E in 2011 … so don’t miss this chance to catch his local LIVE premiere.

One show, four massive acts … and with a stellar international line-up this big, tickets definitely won’t last long, so fans are advised to grab them nice and early to avoid disappointment!
